Just like there is Saint Louis style barbeque, I have come to find out that there is also a Saint Louis style Joel Osteen (although on a much smaller scale). The preaching however is a dead ringer for the Houston based Joel Osteen.
I am now convinced that there are many people who really don’t want much to do with orthodox Christianity and its doctrine. They want to be entertained and massaged and pampered by a celebrity pastor’s easy words of self contentedness and material blessings.
I just wish they would call it what it is: Therapeutic Narcissistic Deism.
